Lorne was born in Montreal and raised in Western Canada. He developed a lifelong passion for Israel and the Middle East after moving here at the age of 18. Lorne met his wife Elisabeth at university in Israel and is the father of three wonderful girls. As a licensed Ministry of Tourism Tour Guide, he has shared his knowledge and passion for Israel with visitors from around the world. For nearly a decade, he served as the Canada Israel Experience/UIA Canada Director in Israel, working with Jewish communities and federations to ensure meaningful and successful visits to Israel. Lorne served in the IDF and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his family, sailing on the Mediterranean, road cycling and traveling the world. In 2008, he joined Routes Travel as company Vice-President.
