Edna was born and raised on Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak in the western Negev. She gained experience in the field of Israel education first as a Shlicha in Canada and as a Group Coordinator for the Canadian Israel Experience in Israel. Edna subsequently became the Cultural Director of Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak and was highly successful at planning and administering the kibbutz’s cultural life. Edna’s talents in organization, her hands on experience with Canada’s Israel programs, her yen for production of imaginative events and her natural charm, enthusiasm and energetic spirit have made her an invaluable Executive Director of Routes Travel. Her flair for the artistic and aesthetic has also added a special touch to Routes Travel’s approach to Israel programs. Ely and Edna have raised three children together, Daniel, Yonatan and Inbal and are the proud granparents of three beautiful grandchildren. Her natural maternal instincts have made Edna a mother figure to many people at Routes.
